I've known Alicia for...well a long time. We were both choir nerds in high school, and she's always loved to help me with any ideas I have for photos. When Alicia asked me to photograph her and and Isaiah's engagement pictures, I couldn't wait! We ended up settling on taking pictures downtown Grand Haven and at the beach.
The evening was full of fun and surprises, including Alicia accidentally breaking off the nail she had on her left ring finger! Luckily she found one of the businesses downtown that had some super glue so we could continue with the session. The surprises weren't over yet, according to the weather it was suppose to start raining after sunset, so we were planning on having plenty of time at the beach. As soon as we got to the beach it started POURING! I did get a few pictures from the beach, but the rain was beginning to be too much for everyone so we ended up calling it a night.
We ended up finishing the session the next night at Pottawatomie Park in Grand Haven. I love this park; it's cute and small right by the water, it's definitely a hidden gem. Most of the second night we spent time talking about wedding planning and bouncing ideas off each other. I love being able to spend time with my couples and just talk wedding and hear how exciting they are for their big day. Congrats to you both Alicia and Isaiah, I can't wait for your wedding next year!
