Best of 2018 | Wedding Portraits

2018 was seriously an amazing year full of a ton of laughs, smiles and intimate moments. I traveled pretty much everywhere in Michigan from Charlevoix, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Holland, and even into Indiana and Illinois! I had to do a mix of couple and wedding party portraits for this blog post, some of these photos are just too good not to share!!

“Formal” portraits are a ton of fun for me because I get to stretch the definition of formal and capture some of the silliest things but also some of the most beautiful moments. Either day or night, I try to make magic for my couples while keeping in mind more classic portraits for family members. I have to say I am so thankful for my couples putting their trust in me and believing me when I tell them to do some silly stuff for photos (and usually gifs!). I also want to thank my couples for having just as crazy ideas as me, because they are some of the best moments. I have never laughed so hard when Adam and his groomsmen wanted to “fight the dragon” at Castle Farms. I also loved Sam’s idea of recreating the American Gothic painting in the greenhouses of Goldner Walsh.

2018 hands down was my best year yet, I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings. I know it’s going to be even better than last year. As always, the photos below are in order from May to December 2018.
