Emily and Kevin's wedding at Muskegon Country Club in Muskegon Michigan was on for the books (seriously!) I knew from their engagement session that they were so in love and just a ton of fun. The beach and the lakeshore is such a special place for them. Kevin actually proposed on the beach at sunset, so we had to incorporate it in anyway possible.
The day started with the girls getting ready at Shoreline Inn, as soon as I walked in the room all the bridesmaids treated me like one of their own and were a blast! Everyone was in aw when Emily put her dress on, it was seriously meant for her! We headed downstairs to meet up with Emily's dad for their father daughter first look, it was seriously the sweetest moment. After Emily's first look with her dad, we waited for the guys to arrive on the trolley for Emily and Kevin's first look. It was a little windy outside, but that didn't take away from the look on Kevin's face when he first saw Emily.
We headed downtown Muskegon for wedding party portraits, seriously what can I say? They were such a fun bunch and were all about having fun! The biggest tip Emily and Kevin gave was only having two drinks per person on the trolley for the wedding party, they could have fun but not get too drunk before the ceremony.
The ceremony was outside on the deck, which overlooked Muskegon lake and their elegant and personal touches left so many people in tears. The weather was absolutely perfect 77 degrees, which was amazing for their outdoor ceremony. After the ceremony we took family photos and then it was time for a few more portraits of Emily and Kevin. Kevin is such a jokester, I had them "drunk walk" towards me and he HAD to add in some fake puking to give it the full effect. I also had them "bump butts" and he took that pretty literally too and the pictures are just hilarious.
Once cocktail hour was over it was time for the reception, which started with Emily and Kevin cutting their cake. I had so much fun with the whole wedding party, we were just having a blast on the dance floor. All in all, Emily and Kevin's wedding was truly a perfect day. Together, Emily and Kevin completely compliment one another; they are a perfect match, and I am just bursting with joy that I got to document their day.
Emily and Kevin, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. I am so beyond happy that I got to be there to witness the beginning of your next big adventure. Thank you a million times over for being so incredible, it was amazing getting to know both of you. I hope this new chapter together gets better each and every day.
